Last month we attended the Frankfurt Book Fair, which was held between October 14th and 16th, as Trade Visitors. The Frankfurt Book Fair is the world’s largest trade fair for books, based on the number of publishing companies represented.

Our goal was to get in touch with different players in the international publishing industry, so that we could start working during 2010 towards the progressive international launch of Niunkabin: Wonderous Worlds. Nuevafantasia’s Foreign Rights Managers were supported by our Creative Advisors, Managing Directors and Corporate Strategy Officer.

Before going to the Book Fair, a group of 15 professionals was involved (taking into account illustrators, marketing consultants, graphic designers, in-house translators, etc.) in its preparation. Market surveys had confirmed that we were dealing with an extremely good book to start-up with, so all we had to do was communicate the results of those tests to the right people.

Finally, we had the opportunity to speak with many of the most important fiction editors of different publishing houses. Once we broke through the skepticism that is expected of a newcomer to the industry such as nuevafantasia, the publishers were enthusiastic about evaluating the book and working with us. In the end, the text of the manuscript will speak for itself.After making 160 contact details all over the world, thanking to the great effort of our professionals, we can definitely say that the Frankfurt Book Fair ’09 is the place were our company was definitely launched to the market.
